The Improv Toolbelt: Physicality  LEAD WITH A BODY PART  Every person has a unique way of walking. Explore how your body could move by leading with a body part, and let that inform your character.  INSPIRED BY ANIMAL  Create completely unique characters by drawing from the natural world. What does a person who behaves 10% cat look like, compared to someone who behaves 90% sloth.  VOICE  Our voice can be a helpful way to get into character. Try changing the speed, emphasis or pitch. How does that character feel to play now?  FOCUS ON YOUR BREATH  Similar to with the voice, explore how your breath can influence the feeling of your body, and the characters that emerge (taking care to do so safely).
